History of Reiki
The practice of Reiki is an original method of healing developed by Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th Century. Reiki, pronounced “ray-key” is a system of healing energy, which works on every level, the mind, body and spirit.
Eastern medicine has always recognised and worked with this energy, which flows through all living things and is vital to well-being. It is known as “Ki” in Japan, “Chi” in China and “Prana” in India. Acupuncture, Tai Chi and Yoga are also based on the free flow of this energy in a person.
When this energy becomes disrupted or blocked, it is believed that stress and disease could follow.
How Reiki works
At Tsuki Reiki, I love Reiki for the positive effects it has had upon my life and those of my clients.
Reiki is safe and natural which can be used in confidence alongside orthodox treatments. It is a holistic way of treating many acute and chronic conditions and brings about a mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Heath issues which it can help include;
Strengthening the immune system
Increased sense of well-being and happiness
We live in a world of energy that nourishes and maintains all living things. When this energy becomes blocked or disrupted physical and mental symptoms can occur, including anxiety, stress and a weakened immune system. When this energy flows uninterrupted there is a balance and harmony within and around us which leads us to experience a sense of well-being. Regular Reiki sessions can help maintain a better sense of well-being and peace of mind, enabling you to cope better with life’s challenges.
