History of Reiki

The practice of Reiki is an original method of healing developed by Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th Century. Reiki, pronounced “ray-key” is a system of healing energy, which works on every level, the mind, body and spirit.

Eastern medicine has always recognised and worked with this energy, which flows through all living things and is vital to well-being. It is known as “Ki” in Japan, “Chi” in China and “Prana” in India. Acupuncture, Tai Chi and Yoga are also based on the free flow of this energy in a person.

When this energy becomes disrupted or blocked, it is believed that stress and disease could follow.

 

How Reiki works

At Tsuki Reiki, I love Reiki for the positive effects it has had upon my life and those of my clients.

Reiki is safe and natural which can be used in confidence alongside orthodox treatments. It is a holistic way of treating many acute and chronic conditions and brings about a mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
