Indian Head  Massage has been used in Asia for over 5,000 years and works specifically on the area surrounding the head, scalp, face, neck, shoulders and upper back. Head Massage

  • Promotes hair growth by increasing oxygen in the hair follicles.

  • Prevents and relieves headaches and migraines by releasing built-up tension in the head and neck area, relieving muscle stiffness.

  • Renews and balances energy levels by working on the three higher chakras.

  • Relieves symptoms of depression and anxiety through relaxation.

  • Stimulates lymphatic drainage.

How does it work:

Indian Head Massage, also known as Champissage, is a treatment that focuses on massaging acupressure points along the head, neck and shoulders, often using circular massage strokes to release tension and relieve stress.

What to expect during a treatment:

A tradition Indian Head Treatment is carried out sitting in a chair with warmed towels and blankets.

The massage usually begins on the shoulders, working into this area especially as it often is where you can carry tension. The upper back is also massaged working around the shoulder blades.

Motions and acupressure is used up the neck to release stress and then the scalp is massaged with various techniques.

To finish the treatment you will receive relaxing acupressure around the forehead, eyes, sinuses, cheekbone, ears and jaw. Beautiful essential oils are used which are blended following a consultation which is specific to your needs.
